What Is a Package Template in Seated With Love?
A Package Template is a reusable, fully-customizable wedding package that a venue creates in Seated With Love to present tiers, pricing, add-ons, media and planning selections for couples to choose from.
Why Package Templates matter
Package Templates let venues publish clear, searchable wedding packages (tiers like Classic / Signature / Luxe) while giving couples a guided, branded way to pick prices, add-ons, and planning options. Templates reduce manual work and increase conversions by centralizing: tiered pricing, photos, descriptions, planning items (photo booth, premium bar, vendor coordination), per-selection lock out dates, and automated email reminders.
Key features
-
Multiple templates & tiers — create templates and tier levels (Bronze → Diamond, Essentials → Luxe).
-
Customizable planning items — add/edit options (photo booth, open premium bar, ceremony only, reception only, day-of coordinator).
-
Full content control — set price points, upload images with alt text, write keyword-rich descriptions and tags.
-
Per-selection lock out dates — set deadlines per item so decisions are locked by a chosen date.
-
Automated email reminders — system-generated reminders prompt couples to finalize selections prior to lock out dates.
-
Preview & publish — view templates as couples see them before publishing.
Customization options to highlight
-
Price points: Base rates, per-guest pricing, flat fees for add-ons.
-
Media & descriptions: Hero images, galleries, alt text, one-line taglines plus longer marketing copy.
-
Selection controls: Single choice, multi-select, and quantities (e.g., extra photo hours).
-
Visibility & tags: Add tags like “elopement,” “all-inclusive,” “micro-wedding,” or location keywords to improve discoverability.
-
Reminder cadence: Automatic reminders tied to lock out dates — verify venue contact copy if custom reminders are used.
Lock Out Dates — what they do
-
Definition: A deadline assigned to a selection or add-on inside a template.
-
Purpose: Ensure vendor scheduling, inventory, and accurate pricing by locking choices on time.
-
Venue control: Set different lock out dates per selection (e.g., vendor-booked items earlier than menu choices).
-
Automation: Seated With Love sends email reminders so couples complete selections before the lock out date.

How to Delete a Package Template in Seated With Love
Short answer: Deleting a template permanently removes it from your venue’s account. Seated With Love does not support archiving templates — deletion is permanent and should be used with caution.
Quick steps to delete a template
-
Open Packages:
Dashboard → Packages. -
Open the template: Click the template name to view its details or editor.
-
Delete: Click the delete button and choose Delete.
.png?width=670&height=458&name=Untitled%20design%20(16).png)
-
Confirm: Confirm the deletion in the dialog. You may be asked to type the template name or click Confirm.
What happens after deletion
-
The template is permanently removed and cannot be restored from the UI.
-
If the template is attached to active bookings, the system will block deletion or show a warning. Remove the template reference from those bookings or update the bookings before retrying.
-
Deleting a template does not automatically change existing bookings — verify any affected events and notify couples or staff if needed.
