Managing a Weddings Package and Selections

In Seated With Love, a package represents the planning questions and selections couples need to complete for their wedding. Packages help venues organize key decisions such as bar options, menu selections, guest counts, and other planning details.

Each package is made up of planning items, which are the individual questions couples respond to during the planning process.

Packages allow venues to standardize planning, collect important information from couples, and track decisions in one place.

What Makes Up a Package?

A package is composed of planning items, which represent the questions couples must answer.

Planning Item Types

Planning items can be configured in several ways:

• Single Select – Couples choose one option from a list

• Multi Select – Couples can choose multiple options

• Typed Response – Couples provide a written answer

Planning Item Options

Some planning items include options that couples can choose from.

Example:

Select your bar option

Possible options might include:

• Open Bar

• Beer & Wine

• Cash Bar

Options can include additional details such as:

• Optional pricing

• Descriptions

• Photos

Option Pricing

Options can optionally include pricing. Pricing can be configured as:

• Static price

• Per person

• Per table

• Hourly

This allows venues to clearly present pricing for upgrades or service options.

Planning Items Without Options

Some planning items simply collect information from couples.

Example:

What is your final guest count?

In this case, couples provide a typed response instead of selecting from options.

Required Planning Items

Planning items can optionally be marked as required.

When an item is required:

• Couples are expected to respond

• Seated With Love automatically reminds couples if the item remains unanswered

Deadlines for Required Items

Required planning items can also include deadlines.

Deadlines are set as a number of days before the wedding date.

If a deadline is set:

• Couples receive reminders to complete the item

• Once the deadline passes, couples can no longer respond

This helps ensure key planning decisions are finalized on time.

How to Manage a Wedding’s Package

Follow the steps below to view or update the package for a specific wedding.

1. Log in to Seated With Love
   Sign in to your Seated With Love dashboard.

2. Navigate to Weddings
   From the main navigation, click Weddings.

3. Open the wedding you want to manage
   Find the wedding and click the Manage button.

4. Navigate to the Package section
   In the wedding management page, click Package.

5. Manage the package and selections
   From this page you can:

   • View the package template assigned to the wedding

   • Assign a package template if one is not already assigned

   • See the responses submitted by the couple

   • Update or correct the couple’s selections

   • Add or remove planning items for the wedding

   • Add, edit, or remove options within planning items

   • Update option pricing, descriptions, and photos

This flexibility allows venues to customize packages for individual weddings while still starting from a standardized template.

Note: Venue staff can update or change couple selections before planning item deadlines. After a deadline passes, couples can no longer respond to that planning item.
