How to Create Options for Planning Items

In Seated With Love, planning templates are made up of planning items, which represent questions couples must answer while planning their wedding.

Some planning items include options, which allow couples to select from predefined choices such as bar packages, meal selections, or service upgrades. Options help venues clearly present what is available and can optionally include pricing, descriptions, and photos.

Follow the steps below to add options to a planning item.


Steps to Create Options for a Planning Item

  1. Log in to Seated With Love
    Sign in to your Seated With Love dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Packages
    From the main navigation, click Packages.

  3. Select the template you want to edit
    Find the package template you want to update.

  4. Find the planning item
    Locate the planning item where you want to add options.

  5. Click “Add Option”
    Click the Add Option button to create a new option for the planning item.

  6. Fill in the option details
    Enter the relevant information for the option, including:

    • Name – The name of the option

    • Description – Additional details explaining the option

    • Price (optional) – A cost associated with the option

    • Price Type (optional) – Choose how the price is calculated:

      • Static

      • Per person

      • Per table

      • Per hour

    • Photo (optional) – An image that helps explain or showcase the option

  7. Save the option
    Once all information is added, save the option so it becomes available for couples when responding to the planning item.


Tip: Adding descriptions and photos to options helps couples better understand their choices and makes it easier for them to select the right option for their wedding.
